The Bee Awareness Society was thrilled to be one of seven displays chosen to display at the Columbia Basin Symposium from October 13 – 15, 2017. Over 400 people attended this three day symposium for networking with dynamic speakers regarding Climate, Demographics, and Technology. The highlight of the weekend was the keynote address by Colonel Chris Hadfield. BAS came away with a number of schools in the East Kootenay wanting to participate in the 2018 BAS program, as well as numerous contacts including additional project help, Artists, City Councillors, Chamber of Commerce members and TV Stations.
